Palo Blanco Ranch Waterfalls
The waterfalls park at the Palo Blanco Ranch of Tubagua, Puerto Plata, are a hidden piece of paradise. They are part of a river system inside the property that is responsible for the astonishing beauty of the surroundings.
There are two large falls that drop more than 10 meters, cascading waterfalls. There are several smaller ones along the river path, and a set of 4 of various heights ranging 12 to 3 feet in height quite close to reach on foot, past the project’s main entrance.
There are also other falls at La Rejoya, next to us. This is a Camu River reserve that also offers splendid vistas and one of the best hiking trails of Puerto Plata. Salto La Cueva is another breathtaking waterfall within our proximity, that includes a beautiful natural pool.
Next in line in this area is the Charco de los Militares and what locals call La Playita. Palo Blanco Ranch offers ATV and horseback riding tours to the external locations near us, also hiking adventures if you prefer to walk instead.

Besides the river and waterfalls inside the Palo Blanco Ranch, we also have access to other pristine natural pools such as La Rejoya, Charco de los Militares, the Camú river, Charco de las golondrinas, Sonador River and La Playita de Yásica.
This river system has a total of 81 kilometers from Moca to Puerto Plata and is born in Pedro Garcia, Santiago, with a total basin that measures 837 square kilometers, making the Yasica river basin the largest in the Atlantic coast. All these natural wonders can be reached on foot, horseback, ATV, or SUV from the Palo Blanco Ranch. Photos by www.puertoplatadr.com
